We’re a week away from Valentine’s Day and whether you’re single or in a relationship, this drink will make your day! While it’s not fictional, I did originally post it over at Cooking the Book. Give this Valentine Martini a try! It’s delicious!

The original post appears below.

My last few Thirsty Thursday cocktails haven’t been all that fictional. This one isn’t either…sorry. But it’s yummy and that’s really what counts, right? Plus, I was going to post this one for Valentine’s Day, but I just didn’t get it done. Sorry again. I never claimed that I wasn’t a slacker.

Make this one up anytime you need a little sweet pick-me-up. Or if you’re deep into a sappy romance novel. Or a chick flick. Or it’s lunch time. I mean, whatever.

It’s super simple. I rimmed my glass with chocolate syrup and fancied it up with a fresh strawberry. Then, in went 2 ounces of chilled strawberry vodka and a 1/2 ounce of chilled creme de cacao. See, super simple. If you want it creamier, you could add a splash of half and half, but it doesn’t need it.
