Sometimes you need a candy bar martini. But, sometimes you’d rather have a cookie in cocktail form. It happens. For today’s Thirsty Thursday drink, I came up with a caramel coconut martini that will definitely satisfy your cookie craving even if no one comes to your door trying to sell you pastries.
Remember those ingredients you picked up last week for the candy bar martini? Well, here another drink that will help use them up!Jump to Recipe
The Samoa® is a very popular cookie that you can only get through your favorite Girl Scout. It’s a delicious treat, full of caramel, coconut, and chocolate. This drink hits all the same flavor notes. It’s fairly simple, but, again, is easily dressed up if you want to be impressive.
First gather your supplies. You’ll need: a martini glass, shaker with ice, creme de cacao, coconut rum, caramel vodka, caramel syrup (optional), and shredded coconut (optional.)
If you’re being impressive, apply some caramel sauce to the rim of your glass and then dip the rim in shredded coconut. Next add 2 parts caramel vodka, 1 part creme de cacao, and 1 part coconut rum in your shaker and shake away! Strain the cold cocktail into your prepped glass. Done and done! Enjoy!
Tips and Tricks
- No shaker? Just stir everything up in a large glass or measuring cup with ice.
- If you don’t want to bother rimming the glass, just drizzle caramel sauce in the interior of the glass and skip the coconut.
